Practicing Presence and Peace

This 1.5 hour workshop will begin with self-care and mindfulness activities to ground oneself in the present moment and to relax the mind and body using breath work, concentration and focus activities and physical postures and movements. We will delve into the 5 Elements philosophy sound in the Samkhya tradition of yoga philosophy as well as Ayurveda. We will use the 5-Elements (which in these philosophies make up everything in the universe) to explore our inner and outer landscapes, draw parallels between the two and notice where we may be in balance or out of balance. We will also use journal writing to reflect some of our thoughts and guided discussion to share insights within our group.
