Troy Polnitz has been at Fresno State for ten years, both as a student and staff. Troy received his Bachelors degree in Psychology in 2012 and his Masters degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling and Mental Health Counseling in 2015. Troy has worked for Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) for what will be 5 years in January. He has served SSD in a variety of different roles which include as a peer mentor, a transportation coordinator, an accommodations coordinator and currently, as a Disability Management Specialist. In this role, Troy provides academic accommodations and access to resources for students with disabilities that attend Fresno State. He is an active advocate for meaningful accessibility and providing an equitable learning experience for all post-secondary students with disabilities. Troy engages in frequent outreach opportunities both on-campus and throughout the central valley at community colleges and high schools. Troy is also a trained facilitator and member of the National Coalition Building Institute that focuses on building environments in which diversity is welcomed and encouraged.
